SOCIAL WIFI MEETS VICTORIAN HOTEL

When The Headland Hotel opened its doors in 1990, it had the same goal it operates to today, be the finest hotel in South West England. The site has over the years expanded and evolved, to include cottages that sit neighbouring the iconic red brick building as well as a state of the art spa. With the construction of the building proving a challenge for the existing hotel wifi vendor the hotel had in place, Microcomms was tasked with offering dependable, high quality hotel wifi to the clientele, across the entire site.

 

Seeing the scope of the site, we decided to deploy cloud based secure hotel wifi – AirTight into the hotel. This provided a fully PCI compliant system that could cope with the surges of demand that the hotel faces, without affecting speeds or connectivity. The systems also had the added benefit of enhancing marketing analytics based on the users, helping the hotel understand who and how people are using the wifi, while also allowing the results to help shape future strategy decisions.
